Hey it's me Sera

I use to go to colinton primary and i think it's the best school in hole of scotland.And i just want to say hi too all the teachers and student.And i want to say hi to miss drysdale too.

My sister and I used to go to your wonderful school. I was there from 1953 to 1956, and my sister was there from 1953 to 58ish. Is the new school built on the site of the old one? My teacher was Miss Simpson, who taught us so much. I went on to Boroughmuir High School. Sadly, we had to move away in 1958, but look forward to revisiting Edinburgh soon.

Hi Colinton Primary, I was a pupil at the school from 1985-9191 then I went to Firrhill.
I had a great time at school and still keep in touch with people I met here. I see Mrs Cumming is still there, she was there when I was. Hi Mrs Cumming.
Well your playing field is a lot smaller now and there wasn't any Tesco when I was there. I loved playing in the field with my friends and we had some great times at the school discos and dances.
I was also on the netball team and the basketball team. It was Mrs Young that I had in p7, don't know when she left. Glad I could leave a message and enjoy school. Lorrain, ex pupil.

Congratulations on your project which I have just seen on The Beechgrove Garden. It was refreshing to see the children working together and displaying a knowledge of the plants. I hope there is a return programme so tnat the public can have an update on the progress. Well done all!

Hi again! It's Charly Pavitt here. I was in p4. I moved from Edinburgh last year. I am enjoying school. I only have year 5 and 6 then i am in high school. The work was hard at first but now i'm getting the hang of it. I have just done my assessments and i did really well. Extended writing is the tricky one. I am still in the choir and this July we are doing the Joseph Production. We have 18 songs to learn. Our topic last term was all about Ancient Egypt. We went to the museum and we saw a real mummy and a sarcophagus. It's sports day soon and we get to pick our own sports. I hope all of you are well. I miss Carra Groom. my name is sarah and I went to Colinton primary school. I left when I was in P6 to move to Huddersfield in England. I miss a lot of people and I remember a few of them although it was around 8 years ago or more. I still remember my teach Mrs Sharpe and also the head teacher Mrs Lumsden.
Some of the people I remember were called Lauren she was my best friend when I live there, I remember allan, sean and scott they were twins lol. And I also sort of remember a girl called sunny. Sorry I cannot remember all of the last names. I would like it if these people could get in touch with me as I havnt seen or heard from them in a long time. Someone write back on here to me.

Hi Colinton Primary. You are fondly remembered. I attended from around 1934/36 and again from 1938/40 to early in 1940 when I left to go to the Duke of Yorks RM School in Dover (as an "army child", of the Royal Scots Greys) but due to German shelling we all moved to north Devon where I spent four very happy years at Saunton. I was born in Redford Barracks and, as expected, joined the army myself later on, 1960 to be precise and served 27 happy years going round the world. Took up journalism when I left the military, and wrote a couple of books along with several hundred Features and articles for papers worldwide. Now retired (77-y-o) but still in occasional touch with some of my Colinton playmates of pre-war days. I am delighted to know that you are still "alive and kicking" though I am sure my teacher (Miss Souter) and Headmaster (Wm Watt) have long departed this mortal coil. You taught me well Colinton. Thank you.
