Our School Philosophy and Rationale
Here at Colinton we aim to provide a warm, caring and secure environment in which children and staff can work.
We encourage the children to value and care for their environment both at school and in the wider community and we strive to cater for the needs of all our children, service and civilian, settling them quickly into our school community and encouraging a sense of school identity.
As a staff we strive to work together and be reflective on our current practices so that we can recognise the school needs and our capacity for change and improvement
We aim to provide a supportive role for all staff members so that they have the opportunity to develop themselves and gain confidence and control through shared leadership responsibilities.
We also believe it is important that educators, parents and students working in partnership, is a key underpinning principle to promote productive learning in our school.
As a staff we work together to ensure we have the skills and opportunities needed to help us improve the quality of Learning and Teaching.
§We ensure there is appropriate training and advice for support staff so that there is social justice and inclusion for all of our pupils.
